I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks and deepest gratitude to everyone who supported, donated, and/or attended Freddie’s Elton John charity fundraising dinner on Saturday evening.  Your love and support made the evening truly special, and I am delighted to announce that we raised a total of £11,764.50 on the night.  I’m so touched that you kindly donated the funds raised from your watercolour portraits on the evening … a fabulous piece of art for those who purchased one!

The party night was not only fun-filled with a fantastic auction and raffle featuring amazing prizes, but it also included moving and factual speeches.  We were humbled to hear from Freddie’s consultant who saved his life.  The Elton John tribute was fabulous, and it was wonderful to see the dance floor packed with enthusiastic guests shaping some moves and joining in with the singing!

Freddie is now training hard to climb Kilimanjaro in June, to mark his two years in remission.  His goal is to raise further awareness of rare blood cancers and support the WISHH charity for Castle Hill Hospital and The Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Trust.  Having had first-hand experience as a patient and for us as a family, Freddie is determined to help others facing similar challenges.  To date, and with your help, Freddie has now raised over £40,000!  This is a phenomenal achievement, and we are extremely proud of Freddie and his determination to help others.  Wow!
